Numerical Simulation Research on Mechanical Optimization of a Novel Fastener Type Ballastless Track (NFTBT) for Tram

In view of the problems present in construction process embedded track structure modern tram, we have designed a Novel Fastener Type Ballastless Track (NFTBT) for tram. To optimize size NFTBT’s structure, finite element model tram running stage is built, mechanical characteristics are calculated, and geometric parameters systematically studied. The research results as follows: (1) As slab increases, displacement differences middle part NFTBT similar, has little effect on displacement. (2) stress difference under different distances between centers adjacent grouting holes’ conditions small. Although larger distance holes can reduce number slab, should not be too large to peak at bottom NFTBT. (3) When fasteners changes within certain range, rail greatly affected by uneven settlement subgrade, irregularity will aggravated. (4) does require implementation cable passages intervals, which facilitates passage fixation cables operation section difficulty adjusting geometry thus accelerating progress.
